No, only the $35 registration fee will be charged at the time of registration. You will have until the morning of the event to reach the fundraising minimum. For more information on the fundraising deadline see the Fundraising FAQ's.
Great question! We have added the new Virtual Participant option this year for those just like yourself that are not able to attend the event and/or can not commit to the fundraising minimum. As a Virtual Participant, your registration fee is $45, and there is no fundraising minimum. We still encourage you to create your personal fundraising page and share with your family and friends, and any amount that you are able to raise is so very much appreciated.

Can I register without agreeing to meet the minimum fundraising requirement?
No. This is a fundraising event. Unless you are registering as a Virtual Participant, you will not be able to complete your registration if you do not agree to the minimum fundraising requirement. Every penny of the fundraising requirement will go directly to the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation so that they are able to fund the brilliant minds focused on beating cancer. No. The entry fee helps cover the cost of producing the William Raveis Ride + Walk. This is why fundraising is so important! All donations made or raised are 100% tax-deductible.
Online registration closes on September 24, 2017. You are still able to register as a Walk Up on the day of the event if you miss online registration. Walk-up registrants are still required to meet the fundraising minimum, so the sooner you register, the more time you have to fundraise! You have until October 30th to meet the fundraising minimum.
We appreciate your enthusiasm, but this is not possible because these two events will be happening simultaneously so you will have to choose one activity.
Yes, regardless of which activity your team members are participating in you can choose whichever activity you want.
Yes. You must be 14 or over to participate in the 25-mile and 50-mile bike rides. Children over the age of 11 may participate in the 12-mile ride or 5k, but must participate with a parent/guardian, and be under their control at all times (which means they’re on the same route). Children ages 11-17 have a reduced fundraising minimum of $25. Children over the age of 17 are required to meet the adult fundraising minimum. No more than two persons under the age of 14 per parent/guardian. Children under the age of 11 can participate in the 5k, and without a registration fee.
Yes! This is a family event we encourage you to walk with your children. Strollers are allowed on the walk, as long as they are pushed by a legal parent or guardian, that parent signs an additional waiver on behalf of the child, and the stroller is a standard width and not a side-by-side for multiple children. Children under the age of 11 are not allowed on the bike routes in a child seat, trailer, nor on a tandem bicycle, or under any other circumstances.
Yes! After your registration is complete, you will have the options of registering another person. We strongly encourage you to get friends and family involved as this is a community event for a great cause. Yes, we very much encourage you to ride and walk with as many family and friends as you can round up.
